Hidden Treasures of Tikuli Art*

The landmark exhibition titled "Tikuli Art: Inherent Beauty" by Bihar Museum, Patna will be inaugurated by Shri Arun Shankar Prasad, Honorable Minister of Art and Culture, Bihar, on April 5, 2026 at 4:00 pm in the Multipurpose Auditorium of Bihar Museum. Shri Pranav Kumar, Secretary, Department of Art and Culture, Bihar will be present as the Guest of Honour, while Shri Anjani Kumar Singh, Director General, Bihar Museum will preside over the function. Perhaps for the first time in the country, a total of 33 artists, including Padma Shri awardee Shri Ashok Kumar Vishwas, will be present together on stage with their 66 artworks. The 800-year-old Tikuli painting is believed to have originated in Patna.
