Session on “The Evolution of Mithila Painting: Art, Themes and Artists” by Mr David Szanton, one of the earliest advocates for the promotion and global recognition of Mithila painting since the 1980s.

Session on “Traces of Bhojpuri Culture in Indo-Caribbean Contemporary Art” by Dr Priya Swamy, Curator of Diasporic Origins. The talk explores how Bhojpuri traditions and cultural memories continue to influence the artistic expressions and lived experiences of Indo-Caribbean artists. Session on “The Evolution of Mithila Painting: Art, Themes and Artists” by Mr David Szanton, one of the earliest advocates for the promotion and global recognition of Mithila painting since the 1980s. His extensive work has significantly contributed to the art form’s international prominence. The event will also feature the book launch of 'Aviral Godavari', a memoir chronicling the life and artistic journey of renowned Madhubani artist Godavari Dutta, authored by Ashok Kumar Sinha.
