In the chain of innovative workshops being organized as part of the Bihar Museum Biennale 2023, the workshop on Stop Motion Animation bridges the gap between traditional and modern art forms. This workshop will fuse the craft of Madhubani painting with the magic of stop motion animation. Participants will get acquainted with the history and potential of this animation technique, while introducing motion to the intricate patterns of the Madhubani paintings. By physically adding or removing patterns of a photo-frame, the participants will learn to inflict movement and create a flip-book like animation. With guidance from skilled artisans, participants will learn to breathe a new life into traditional masterpieces, and explore the dynamic synergy of heritage and innovation. The workshop will be facilitated by Siddharth Maskeri, a Creator, Storyteller, Facilitator-Healer, Farmer, Musician, and Nomad-Traveller.
