Maheshwari
This sculpture depicts Maheshwari, one of the Sapta Matrikas, the seven divine mother goddesses in Hindu tradition. As the Shakti (feminine energy) of Lord Shiva, she is believed to have emerged from his being. Maheshwari is shown holding a lance (Sula) in one hand while cradling a baby in the other, symbolizing both power and nurturing. Her sacred vehicle, Nandi the bull, reinforces her connection to Shiva. This finely crafted piece embodies the spiritual and artistic depth of Hindu mythology, capturing Maheshwari’s divine strength and maternal essence with remarkable detail.
