In Sanatan Dharma, the combined form of Vishnu and Shiva is called Harihara. He is also known as Shankaranarayan, Shambhu-Vishnu and Shivakeshava. Being a combined form of Vishnu and Shiva, Harihar is worshipped by both Shaivites and Vaishnavas. The straight-standing statue of Harihar is made up of dark brown sandstone was found in Mundeshwari, Kaimur, Bihar. On the right side of the rectangular stone plaque, Lord Shiva is depicted with a trident and akshamala, and Lord Vishnu with a crown and a conch in the upper left hand, and the lower left hand resting on the head of a kneeling person who is probably Chakrapurusha in Anjalimudra. Below the right hand of Lord Shiva, a thick-bodied Shiva-Gana is sitting. The word "Vipaschitah" is engraved at the bottom of the rectangular plaque.
