Brahmani

This sculpture depicts Brahmani, one of the Sapta Matrikas, the seven divine mother goddesses in Hindu tradition. As the Shakti (feminine energy) of Brahma, the creator god, she embodies wisdom and nurturing power. In her right hand, she holds a rosary (akshamala), symbolizing knowledge and meditation, while her left hand carries a baby and a water pot (kamandalu), representing purity and creation. Brahmani is shown riding her sacred swan (vahana), relating her divine grace with Brahma. This intricately crafted sculpture beautifully captures her serene yet powerful presence, reflecting the artistic and spiritual depth of Hindu mythology.
