4 APR - 7 APR' 24

The SOSAA brings Archaeologists, Historians, Anthropologists, Museum experts, Social Scientists, Archaeological Scientists, etc. working on diverse facets of heritage and culture on one integrated platform to discuss common issues related to population movement health and diet of the ancient people, cultural evolution and interactions, trade exchange, impact of climate on cultures, social formation, spread of concepts of religion, philosophy, Heritage Management, Museum techniques, etc. The SOSAA provides opportunities to exchange data, ideas and insights of the new discoveries made in the last few years along with the recent advancements in South Asia. Usually, research in Archaeology and History remains disjointed and is mostly done on an individual basis, but, a comprehensive picture might emerge only if we work together as a team and undertake inclusive and comprehensive research. The South Asian countries, including Iran share a common cultural heritage and the holistic picture will emerge only when we work together and adopt multi-dimensional and multi-institutional approach.
